Content
In this semester, economic history course comprises two main subjects which are closely related to each other. First part is related to the evolution of capitalist economy since industrial revolution. The second part covers the economic history of Ottoman Empire in the context of its place in world economy and its internal transformation during the 19th century. Probably first part will take 7 or 8 weeks. Then we are going to proceed with second part of the course.
Grading Policy: Grade will be based on a midterm exam, 30%; take home assignments announced later via Class Jump (click here how to register this system) and some quiz exams 30% and 40 % final exam.
